Life Update

Hello! Merry Christmas! Happy New Year! It's been far too long.

As I'm sure you guessed, blogging has been put on the back burner the last few weeks. With an intense work schedule while preparing for a big event in DC in a couple weeks and dealing with my sick puppy at home, life has been insane.

I'm savoring every day I have left with my dog, Pitou. He's been diagnosed with a tumor and, so far, has been mostly symptom free aside from stress induced seizures and lowered energy and appetite. The hardest part for me now is that there is no cure and we're in a waiting game for his time to come. Losing any pet is hard, but preparing to lose the one that has been your best friend for 10+ years has really taken a tole on my emotional state. Only true animal lovers will understand that one.

I'm looking forward to getting back into blogging and really giving this little slice of the internet some direction and uniformity. But, with everything, I'm afraid I can't say when that will be. For now, my focus is trying to keep myself as calm and positive as I can.
